Time to get my lent on

For Lent... I decided I would get rid of the distractions in my life....

My lent promises:

No Facebook

No Xanga

No Pop

When I am naked I will be praying (I will pray a lot... lol)

I have to read two chapters before I can go to class... If I get up late... I'm gonna have to be even later.

There you go... my lent... so this will be my last entry for about 40 days... I love the Xanga faithful and I will see you in 40... HOLLA!!!

If you don't watch Soprts Center you are missing out.  Anyways, there was a highlight of Jason McElwain.  Never heard of him?  Me niether.  He is and autistic kid from Greece Athena High School in New York.  A graduating senior he has been the equipment manager for the basketball team for 4 years and on senior night the head coach decided to let him suit up and play.  Jason got in for the final 4 minutes of the game and proceeded to score 20 points while making 6 three-pointers in a row!!!  It's unbelievable...

 you gotta watch this clip...

[IF]

If you can keep your head when all about you
Are losing theirs and blaming it on you,
If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you
But make allowance for their doubting too,
If you can wait and not be tired by waiting,
Or being lied about, don't deal in lies,
Or being hated, don't give way to hating,
And yet don't look too good, nor talk too wise:

If you can dream--and not make dreams your master,
If you can think--and not make thoughts your aim;
If you can meet with Triumph and Disaster
And treat those two impostors just the same;
If you can bear to hear the truth you've spoken
Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools,
Or watch the things you gave your life to, broken,
And stoop and build 'em up with worn-out tools:

If you can make one heap of all your winnings
And risk it all on one turn of pitch-and-toss,
And lose, and start again at your beginnings
And never breath a word about your loss;
If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew
To serve your turn long after they are gone,
And so hold on when there is nothing in you
Except the Will which says to them: "Hold on!"

If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue,
Or walk with kings--nor lose the common touch,
If neither foes nor loving friends can hurt you;
If all men count with you, but none too much,
If you can fill the unforgiving minute
With sixty seconds' worth of distance run,
Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it,
And--which is more--you'll be a Man, my son!

--Rudyard Kipling

So I'm thinking about getting a tattoo...  I am leanin' towards this one on my left shoulder balde....

A different verse and font, but that's what I'm leaning towards right now.

In other news... this weekend was pretty fun.  I was healthy and got to get out... It's amazing how being sick makes you appreciate being healthy.  Anyways... FRIDAY = Bowling with Sharp and Frye....       SATURDAY=  baseball, basketball game (dressed like Abu), half price apps @ Jake's, all topped off with a little movie action.

Consider yourself updated.... HOLLA!
